Job summary

A waste management company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Storekeeper to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, manage inventory control, and ensure safe, efficient storage and dispatch of materials. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, knowledge of warehouse procedures, and familiarity with inventory systems. Role Summary

This role is responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse operations, including inventory control, material handling, accurate documentation, and ensuring efficient storage and timely dispatch of materials, tools, and consumables required for smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, spare parts, tools and consumables.
  • Maintain accurate stock records using inventory management systems or manual logs.
  • Issue materials to operations, maintenance and site teams as per approved requests.
  • Ensure proper storage, labelling and segregation of materials in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations, report shortages, damages or discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with procurement and operations teams for timely replenishment of stock.
  • Maintain cleanliness, orderliness and safety of the warehouse always.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE requirements and UAE regulations.
  • Prepare reports on stock levels, usage and inventory movements.
Requirements
  • Good knowledge of inventory control practices and warehouse procedures.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel and ERP / inventory systems.
  • Ability to handle physical work and operate basic warehouse equipment.
  • Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and a responsible work attitude.
Qualification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in inventory/warehouse management is an advantage.
Experience
  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience as a Storekeeper or Warehouse Assistant, preferably in Waste Management, Utilities, Facilities Management or Industrial sectors.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the UAE is essential.
