Position Overview
The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining compelling product displays and point-of-sale (POS) environments across wholesale accounts. This role ensures brand consistency, maximizes product visibility, and drives sell-through by delivering impactful visual presentations in multi-brand retailers, department stores, and independent accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Merchandising & Display: Develop and execute seasonal and promotional visual merchandising plans across wholesale partners. Ensure watch assortments are displayed according to brand guidelines, optimizing visibility and shopper engagement. Implement planograms, display standards, and in-store storytelling to enhance brand presence.
- Account & Store Support: Partner with wholesale clients to train staff on product presentation and brand standards. Regularly visit key accounts to audit displays, track compliance, and refresh merchandising where needed. Collaborate with sales teams to align merchandising initiatives with business objectives and promotional calendars.
- POS & Fixtures Management: Coordinate the distribution, installation, and maintenance of display fixtures, graphics, and props. Work closely with vendors to design and roll out custom displays tailored to specific wholesale partners. Manage budgets for POS materials and merchandising assets.
- Brand & Market Alignment: Stay current with watch industry and retail trends to inspire innovative visual merchandising strategies. Ensure brand identity is consistently represented across all wholesale environments. Provide feedback from the field on competitor merchandising, customer behavior, and emerging trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Fashion, or related field preferred.
- 2–4 years’ experience in visual merchandising, ideally within the watch, jewelry, or accessories industry.
- Strong eye for detail, creativity, and understanding of luxury / premium brand presentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, or visual merchandising software a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel frequently to wholesale accounts.
