Job Summary
We are looking for a Phase 4 Leader – KS4 (Grades 9–10 / Years 10–11-12) for one of our prestigious and international client (School) in Al Ain, UAE. The Phase 4 Leader – KS4 is responsible for leading and monitoring teaching, learning, student achievement, and wellbeing across KS4. The role ensures effective curriculum delivery, consistent assessment practices, high academic standards, and positive student behavior, while supporting teachers through instructional leadership and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching & Learning Leadership
- Lead and monitor high-quality teaching and learning across KS4.
- Ensure effective implementation of the KS4 curriculum in line with national and school standards.
- Monitor lesson planning, classroom practice, and assessment to ensure consistency and rigor.
- Support subject leaders and teachers in improving instructional practices and student engagement.
- Student Achievement & Assessment
- Analyze assessment data to track student progress and attainment across KS4.
- Identify underachievement and lead targeted academic intervention plans.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in internal and external assessment practices.
- Support exam readiness, mock examinations, and external assessment processes.
- Staff Leadership & Professional Development
- Support, mentor, and coach KS4 teachers to enhance instructional effectiveness.
- Lead KS4 phase meetings focused on data analysis, teaching strategies, and student outcomes.
- Work with subject leaders to address teaching and learning priorities.
- Contribute to performance management processes in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Student Wellbeing, Behavior & Safeguarding
- Ensure consistent application of behavior management and safeguarding policies across KS4.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and student conduct, and lead follow-up actions when needed.
- Work closely with counselors, SEN staff, and behavior teams to support students’ academic and emotional needs.
- Parental & Community Communication
- Act as a key point of contact for parents regarding KS4 academic progress and student wellbeing.
- Support parent meetings related to student achievement, behavior, and examinations.
- Communicate expectations clearly to students and parents.
- Operational & Strategic Responsibilities
- Support the organization of KS4 assessments, reporting cycles, and examination processes.
- Ensure accurate records, documentation, and follow-up actions are maintained.
- Contribute to whole-school self-evaluation, improvement planning, and inspection readiness.
Requirements
- Qualified teacher with significant experience in secondary education (KS4).
- Strong understanding of KS4 curriculum, assessment, and examination requirements (American Curriculum).
- Proven ability to lead, support, and influence colleagues.
- Strong data analysis, communication, and organizational skills.
