A prominent real estate company in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Risk Management professional to develop and implement risk management and business continuity frameworks. Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management within large organizations, including a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role. A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Engineering, along with relevant certifications, is required. Strong communication and relationship management skills are essential for success in this role.
Responsible for the development, maintenance & implementation of the risk management framework within Aldar in line with the strategic plans.
Responsible for the development, maintenance & implementation of the Business Continuity Management System frameworks within Aldar.
Responsible for the development, maintenance & implementation of the Crises Management framework within Aldar.
Responsible for developing, rolling out, and testing the Group’s Business Continuity Plan’s
Develop and maintain detailed risk management and business continuity policies and processes and collaborate with key business stakeholders to facilitate their embedding across core processes and individual roles within Aldar.
Lead the design, documentation, communication, and implementation of Aldar’s Risk Management and Business Continuity frameworks
Undertake an annual review of the risk management policy in preparation for sign off, communicating amendments to business areas as required
Review, assess, and report significant risks and issues identified
Work with respective departments in implementing required mitigations
Prepare and collate strategic risks on quarterly basis for management quarterly reporting packs including monitoring of mitigation plans
Scope, plan, and consolidate an annual Business Continuity Plan testing within Aldar
Assist key business stakeholders in identifying and responding effectively to risks arising from internal changes or external events
Carry adhoc assigned tasks
Min of 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management functions for large organizations ideally within the real estate industry.
Min of 2+ years in a managerial position leading a corporate risk function.
Retail estate sector, construction, financial services, or consulting.
Excellent knowledge of industry best risk management practice including regulatory requirements
Experience in developing and implementing risk management/business continuity policies and processes.
Ability to understand and articulate the commercial benefits of effective risk management
Excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills
Ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships
Ability to analyze, present and report risk management data to senior stakeholders
Ability to provide and respond to challenge at senior/executive level
Bachelor degree in Finance or Engineering.
Certification in Enterprise Risk MGT & Business Continuity MGT System
Understanding of NCEMA regulations
