An international education institution in the UAE is seeking a part-time teacher for Materials Sciences and Technologies for Fragrances & Cosmetics, emphasizing excellent organizational skills and industry knowledge. Responsibilities include planning and delivering courses, supporting students' academic progress, and engaging with the beauty industry. Candidates must have a Master's degree, relevant teaching experience, and should be UAE residents. A strong candidate will have both teaching prowess and a deep understanding of the Fragrances & Cosmetics field.
The purpose of this part-time job is to be part of Istituto Marangoni Dubai teachers’ education team, teaching the subject Materials Sciences and Technologies for Fragrances & Cosmetics applied to Fashion Management, Concentration in Fragrances & Cosmetics.
As part-time teacher, you’ll also be involved in a wider enterprise, course administration, and developments in your area of expertise.
You will use this activity both in your teaching and in supporting educational partners to develop teaching-engaged practice.
Plan and deliver the subjects through a clear and appropriate approach towards the student, compliant with CAA standards. Draw up Course File Structure. Preparation of teaching materials for units assigned in accordance with Istituto Marangoni methodological guidelines and indications received by the local Director of Education and Programme Leader. Engage with the academic and creative culture of the School through the development and participation in School and Company projects, lectures and events, enabling innovation within the related field of study. Perform such course management and administrative duties as required in support of learning and teaching and individual scholarly development in complex and changing contexts.
Develop the students’ learning progress and monitor the learning approach, student experience and developmental stages of the students. Develop students' creativity, passion for the subject and problems solving skills through group work, field trips, and industry-supported projects. Ensure that students are appropriately supported and provided with timely and constructive guidance for their academic developments and pastoral care. Assess students’ progression in formative and summative assessments throughout the academic year. Establish and maintain appropriate working relationships with international pool of lecturers, students of different nationalities, staff and the local Director of Education. Contribute to the development and enhancement of designated academic provision.
Initiate & foster engagement with relevant industries, organizations and professional bodies to develop opportunities for the School in the field.
