A leading global engineering firm is seeking a Traffic Management Officer based in Dubai, UAE. Responsibilities

• Ensure traffic laws are enforced by field staff in coordination with law enforcement.
• Respond to traffic incidents and coordinate clearance operations promptly.
• Monitor daily road traffic operations to maintain safe vehicle and pedestrian flow.
• Encourage traffic management workers to adopt a strong safety culture.
• Notify authorities and control room before traffic control works commence.
• Ensure all traffic signage is clean, visible, and legible.
• Comply with RTA regulations and Work Zone Traffic Management Manual.
• Conduct briefings on traffic control procedures and safety standards.
• Investigate traffic-related incidents and recommend improvements.
• Maintain records of traffic operations, incidents, and crew briefings.
• Liaise with local authorities and contractors to ensure compliance.
• Support development of traffic safety materials and operational briefings.

Job description

• Ensure traffic laws and regulations are enforced by field staff in coordination with law enforcement and RTA officials.
• Respond to traffic incidents coordinate clearance operations promptly and minimize congestion and disruption to public roads.
• Monitor and manage daily road traffic operations on-site to maintain safe and efficient vehicle and pedestrian flow.
• Encourage and ensure that traffic management workers adopt a strong safety culture and continuously develop their skills with safe work practices.
• Notify traffic police and RTA control room prior to commencing diversion or traffic control works ensuring all necessary approvals are in place.
• Ensure all traffic signage is clean visible legible and appropriately positioned for visibility during day night and adverse weather conditions.
• Ensure full on-site compliance with RTA WZTMM (Work Zone Traffic Management Manual) and other applicable regulations.
• Conduct briefings and training sessions on traffic control procedures incident response and safety standards for all traffic crew members.
• Investigate traffic-related incidents near-misses and public complaints and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate records of daily traffic operations crew briefings incident and accident reports and any deviations from planned activities.
• Liaise with local authorities project contractors consultants and regulatory bodies to ensure that all traffic control activities meet legal environmental and project-specific requirements.
• Support the preparation development and distribution of traffic safety materials signage instructions and crew operational briefings.
