Job Purpose

Responsible for delivering clear instructions on a variety of subjects related to aviation, ensuring all students grasp the knowledge required for their licensing exams and safe flight operations. Ensures that students are fully equipped with the essential theoretical understanding of aviation.

Key Result Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality theoretical knowledge lectures in accordance with approved curricula and Academy manuals.
  • Maintain and update training materials, lesson plans, and accurate student performance/attendance records.
  • Support and mentor students, providing constructive feedback and ensuring a positive, professional learning environment.
  • Ensure effective use of training resources, contribute to curriculum development, and uphold examination confidentiality and professional standards.
  • Promote and report on safety, maintain required documentation, and perform duties as assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
  • A degree or diploma in aviation, aeronautics, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant pilot licenses (e.g., PPL, CPL, ATPL) or an aircraft maintenance license can be beneficial.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods for students with different learning styles.
  • Prior experience as a pilot, flight instructor, air traffic controller, or aviation engineer is highly valued.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and classroom management skills.
  • Completed a course of training in instructional techniques. Train the trainer certificate is preferred.
  • Previous experience in giving theoretical knowledge instruction and an appropriate theoretical background in the specified subject.
  • Previous experience in instructing ATPL theory at a GCAA-approved pilot training organization is preferred.
Work Experience
  • 3+ years of experience as an instructor, handling similar tasks.
  • Practical background in aviation in the areas relevant to the training provided.
  • In-depth knowledge of the aviation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE GCAA safety policies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
