This is a remote position.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Telecommunications Engineer with a strong understanding of modern communication systems and a proactive systemsthinking approach. This role involves designing maintaining and optimizing telecom infrastructure and integrations that support both internal operations and product capabilities particularly where AI and automation intersect with telecommunications.

Responsibilities
  • Design implement and maintain telecom infrastructure including VoIP SIP systems and call routing architectures.
  • Collaborate with product teams to integrate telephony features into AIenabled platforms (e.g. autodialers call summarization transcription pipelines).
  • Evaluate and optimize call quality latency and availability for realtime communication systems.
  • Deploy and manage cloudbased telecom systems (e.g. Twilio Asterisk FreeSWITCH or similar).
  • Develop monitoring and diagnostic tools for telecomrelated metrics.
  • Participate in infrastructure scaling and automation efforts.
  • Document systems architecture and contribute to process improvements across the stack.
Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of VoIP protocols (SIP RTP) PBX systems and network optimization for voice/data.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS GCP or similar) and telecom APIs like Twilio Plivo or Vonage.
  • Proficient in scripting or programming languages (e.g. Python Bash) for automation.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership a high agency mindset is critical.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
