Mechanical Technician • United Arab Emirates
To carry out scheduled preventive maintenance program and any assigned Mechanical breakdown maintenance on both static and mobile mechanical systems including pneumatic and hydraulic systems equipment and installations at all Aviation Fuel Depots as per Aviation JIG standards and manufacturers recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance of static and mobile equipment, including Aviation Fueling systems, pumps, compressors, generators, and meter calibrations at airport depots, all mechanical instruments, piping, and mechanical valves as assigned per monthly schedules and in accordance with company procedures and records.
- Perform mechanical modification work as directed by supervisors and in accordance with work and safety standards, without direct supervision.
- Maintain and repair automobile units.
- Test mechanical systems, equipment, and installations after repair to ensure satisfactory operation.
- Trace out and rectify faults by following mechanical diagrams, equipment drawings, and manuals.
- Ensure all safety precautions are taken before and during execution of mechanical work.
- Maintain all safety equipment.
- Visit all airport depots and conduct periodic checks on all mobile and static systems, equipment, and installations.
- Report and attend faults, carry out necessary repair and maintenance work, and record accordingly on standard forms.
- Prepare store requisitions based on catalogues and part lists, and maintain maintenance documents and checklists for scheduled tasks as per company requirements.
- Attend all assigned breakdowns promptly, carry out necessary repair work, and ensure equipment is returned to service as soon as possible.
- Adhere rigorously to safety instructions during all stages of work in hazardous areas, performing safety checks.
- Work in a 24x7 shift cycle as required.
- Prepare reports of work completed and problems observed during visits to remote area aviation depots.
- Operate and update records in a computer‑based maintenance program system for aviation equipment and facilities as instructed.
- Ensure all maintenance is recorded according to company procedures.
- Operate the inventory management system and computer‑based maintenance program within the limits of authority in the computer system.
- Ensure that all jobs are carried out under approved PTW and comply with company HSE rules.
Qualifications
- Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role.
