Position Summary: The Technical Supervision Architect will oversee, inspect, and validate civil and architectural works across new sites to ensure compliance with IFC drawings, specifications, safety standards, and finishing requirements. The role serves as the on-ground technical authority during inspections, handovers, mobilization, and quality monitoring.
General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and detailed inspections of civil and architectural works across active and newly developed sites.
- Verify that construction and finishing works align with IFC drawings, specifications, approved materials, and UAE code requirements.
- Identify workmanship issues, defects, and non-compliance cases; issue and manage snag lists through closure and certification.
- Lead snagging/de-snagging during contractor handover and mobilization stages and validate handover documentation (as-builts, warranties, method statements, material submittals, finishing schedules).
- Confirm structural and architectural integrity of constructed works prior to site takeover and operational mobilization.
- Review design layouts, details, and finishes for constructability and compliance; recommend technical improvements for durability and ease of maintenance.
- Monitor contractor execution for adherence to specifications, construction standards, and sequencing/coordination requirements.
- Interface with project managers, inspectors, FM teams, consultants, and contractors for site clarifications and inspections.
- Support technical audits, design compliance reviews, and authority inspections as required.
- Enforce HSE and municipal compliance and escalate unsafe practices, material deviations, or non-conforming work.
- Prepare inspection reports, snag/de-snag progress updates, and compliance documentation; maintain accurate site records and contractor submissions.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- At least a minimum 5–8 years of experience in construction supervision or architectural/civil inspection roles
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or related discipline is essential.
- Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, ADM regulations, and industry standards.
- Experience in reviewing drawings, finishes, and civil/architectural construction details.
- Ability to conduct detailed snagging and quality assessment.
- Strong communication and reporting skills. Proven experience coordinating service providers, subcontractors, and technical teams.
- Strong technical knowledge of civil and architectural works.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in reading drawings and interpreting specifications.
- Strong stakeholder coordination capabilities.
- Ability to supervise multiple sites simultaneously.
