The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and extensive experience in MEP systems, along with strong leadership and project management skills. Responsibilities include managing technical teams, ensuring compliance with regulations, and liaising with clients and authorities. This role is essential for maintaining project quality and timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12‑15 years of experience in MEP contracting, with at least 5 years in a technical management role.
• Strong exposure to high‑rise, commercial, residential, hospitality, or mixed‑use projects within the UAE/GCC.

Responsibilities

• Oversee MEP engineering design, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Lead design coordination meetings to resolve technical issues and optimize solutions.
• Manage the technical team, assigning responsibilities and ensuring timely deliverables.
• Review and approve value engineering proposals for cost-effective MEP solutions.
• Ensure MEP integration with architectural and structural works.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities for design submissions.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager – MEP Contracting to lead the design coordination, technical compliance, and engineering delivery of large-scale building and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership, ensuring MEP systems meet international standards, local authority approvals, and client expectations within budget and timeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee MEP engineering design, shop drawings, and material submittals, ensuring compliance with project specifications, authority regulations (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, ADDC, etc.), and international standards.
• Lead design coordination meetings with consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to resolve technical issues and optimize solutions.
• Manage the technical team (engineers, draftsmen, BIM modelers), assigning responsibilities and ensuring timely deliverables.
• Review and approve value engineering proposals, offering cost-effective and innovative MEP solutions without compromising quality.
• Ensure seamless MEP integration with architectural and structural works through detailed coordination drawings and BIM implementation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and statutory authorities for design submissions, approvals, and inspections.
• Provide technical guidance during procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Support project execution by resolving site technical issues and ensuring adherence to QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• Monitor project progress and provide technical reports to management, highlighting risks and recommending mitigation measures.
