Team Leader, Public Area, One & Only One Za'abeel
Responsibilities
- Supervise and inspect all public areas several times daily, observe cleanliness, maintenance, and hazards.
- Conduct professional and motivating training on a regular basis.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the various training programs conducted to the job specifics.
- Ensure all defects are reported immediately and follow up to ensure they have been completed.
- Assist and implement preventative maintenance programs for the public areas.
- Control all machinery equipment and supplies issued and returned.
- Maintain a par stock of all guest supplies, cleaning supplies and equipment in stores and pantries.
- Ensure that all equipment is always in good working condition and facilitate repair and maintenance schedules.
- Actively take monthly inventories of all chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain a daily log indicating assignments and notes on repairs and maintenance items as well as special cleaning tasks.
- Check all the floral decorations and arrangements in all Public Areas daily and report to Florist of any changes required.
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness to all assigned work areas.
- Create and update deep cleaning schedules, monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
- Co-ordinates with suppliers such as marble treatment, night cleaning, project cleaning.
- Inspect all public areas of the Hotel, ensuring that they have been cleaned to the highest level, maintenance is reported and rectified.
- Inspect and check pantry’s daily.
- Inspect Colleagues locker rooms, Offices, Meeting rooms, emergency staircases and Back of the house areas and carparks.
- Ensure the Lost and Found procedure is always adhered to.
- The ability to maintain safe work practices and report hazards and emergencies.
- The ability to perform coaching and corrective performance discussions with colleagues.
- The ability to perform performance reviews for assigned colleagues.
- Assist in new colleague job skill training as and when requested by the superiors.
- Ensure that the task provided daily are executed to the expectation of O&O One Zaabeel standard.
- Assist in other tasks in the department & Hotel when requested by Manager.
- To effectively communicate and maintain a favorable working relationship with all colleagues.
- Participates in required training and briefings related to the job.
- Attends and participates in team events.
About You
- Must hold a Diploma in Hospitality.
- Be fluent in spoken & written English; any other foreign language is a plus factor.
- Must be skilled to perform the job of Team Leader, Public Area.
- Must have the basic knowledge of Housekeeping and worked as a team Leader in a Hotel or FM company for 2-3 years.
- Must have minimum 2 years job experience as a Team Leader in a five‑star hotel.
