Job summary

A leading construction engineering firm in Dubai is seeking an Engineering Lead to oversee a team of Planning Engineers. This role involves planning schedules, ensuring effective resource use, and creating customer presentations. The ideal candidate should have a Technical/Civil Engineering qualification, at least 5 years of experience in formwork engineering, including knowledge of Doka formwork, alongside strong leadership and communication skills. This position is full-time, with no remote work option.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of intensive experience in formwork engineering (and structural analysis).
• Doka formwork experience is preferred.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day business of a team of Planning Engineers.
• Plan work schedules and ensure effective use of team capacities.
• Create customer presentations and assist in technical meetings.

Job description

• Engineering lead of day-to-day business of team made up of Planning Engineers with different skill and experience levels
• Plans the work schedule of assigned resources in coordination with overall capacities
• Ensure team capacities are used effectively taking competencies and availability as well as deadlines into account
• Provide strong leadership for his team and actively promote knowledge sharing and engineering trainings for the development of the group
• Motivate team members in achieving individual and group success goals by being a role model and a mentor
• Implement formwork solutions as per project requirements and guides team members to value engineering
• Create and conduct customer presentations and assist Sales in client technical meetings
• Internally communicate and coordinate with other teams and departments
• Ensure implementation of Doka engineering standards and work instructions
• Personally handle key projects as Project engineer-in-charge

Qualifications

• Technical/Civil Engineering Qualification
• At least 5 years of intensive experience in formwork engineering (and structural analysis); Doka formwork experience is preferred
• Team management and leadership experience skills
• Auto CAD proficiency; 3D software (i.e. Revit) knowledge is an advantage
• Well-versed in office software tools
