Our client, a world leader in imaging products and solutions for digital home and office usage, is currently seeking to recruit a Manager - Supply Chain. You will report directly to the General Manager.
Objective
- Develop, direct, and manage the regional Supply Chain function in the Middle East, including purchase planning, procurement, warehousing, and distribution, aligned with company objectives and client demand.
- Ensure effective cost control and efficient procurement, storage, handling, and administration of inventories.
Principal Duties
Service Operations
- Set up and monitor KPIs for key service providers.
- Select cost-effective service providers for air and sea imports.
- Establish guidelines for inbound/outbound logistics and instruct relevant parties accordingly.
- Improve supply chain management, including route efficiency, forwarder selection, and third-party warehousing, considering cost, lead-time, and quality.
- Collaborate with system specialists to analyze and improve IT systems related to supply chain operations, ensuring compatibility with the company and third-party partners in the Middle East.
Import Administration
- Provide shipment instructions, including documentation and routing, for smooth logistics operations.
- Supervise freight forwarders and carriers to ensure timely merchandise inflow.
- Review invoices from service providers for cost control.
- Monitor transit status and take necessary actions if issues arise.
- Manage shipping documents to facilitate efficient customs clearance.
Merchandise Control
- Supervise third-party warehouse operations to improve storage and handling activities.

Additional Requirements
- Own a car and hold a valid UAE driving license.
- Willingness to travel for business as needed.
Job Skills and Candidate Profile
- Excellent analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.
- Motivated, accurate, and proficient with computers and figures.
- Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
- Minimum 5 years of regional/UAE logistics experience.
- Experience in team management within Supply Chain/Logistics.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and MS Office applications.
- Relevant university qualifications; fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Professional appearance and communication style.
