Job summary

A global infrastructure firm in Ras al-Khaimah is seeking a dedicated quality assurance professional to ensure contract compliance and oversee structural project aspects. Responsibilities include analyzing construction documents, coordinating inspection teams, and maintaining project records. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of construction standards and health and safety practices. Responsibilities

  • Ensure contract compliance quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) for structural aspects of the project.
  • Analyse applicable codes, standards and project contract documents to monitor construction activities and ensure compliance.
  • Interpret and clarify contract documents for contractors resolving any discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain and prepare various records including daily/weekly progress reports, material accounting records, change orders and record drawings.
  • Supervise and coordinate the inspection team; conduct weekly meetings with inspectors and the Project Engineer.
  • Assist the Senior Discipline Engineer in identifying, responding to and evaluating technical issues to maintain the project schedule.
  • Highlight violations of construction/engineering-related issues on site through the issuance of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Attend progress review and coordination meetings to assist in resolving site issues.
  • Participate in snagging and project handover processes providing expert knowledge and support.
  • Monitor health and safety practices on construction works, reporting issues and stopping work if unsafe practices are observed.

  • Highlight violations of construction/engineering-related issues on site through the issuance of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Attend progress review and coordination meetings to assist in resolving site issues and liaise with the Design Engineer on modifications if required.
  • Participate in snagging and project handover processes providing expert knowledge and support to ensure smooth project completion.
  • Monitor health and safety practices on construction works reporting issues and stopping work if unsafe practices are observed.
