Purpose of Position (Summary)

This permanent Service Engineer role reports to the Services and Solutions Manager and is responsible for driving installation base upgrades at ADNOC locations and managing service assignments. Responsibilities include identifying and executing upgrade and service business opportunities, commissioning gas detectors, control panels, HVAC‑R and monitoring systems, and other MSA products, as well as performing servicing, maintenance, on‑site calibration, repair, and training across the UAE. The role promotes MSA’s service business by developing and maintaining strong relationships with both existing and new customers.

Responsibilities

Field Services & Commercial Opportunities

  • Coordinate with the FGFD Sales team, Technical Service Engineers, and Channel Partners to understand existing installed bases and promote upgrades.
  • Consult and coordinate with the FGFD Projects team regarding commissioning schedules and ensure smooth execution.
  • Collaborate with authorized service partners and guide end users in calibration, repair, maintenance, and training.
  • Provide sales support to the ADNOC Key Account Manager and Field Sales Managers.
  • Engage with the Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) Regional Service Office to resolve warranty, quality issues, and spare parts challenges.
  • Manage service visits, on-site commissioning, and preventive maintenance; support ASPs in securing long-term AMCs.
  • Execute paid repairs, maintenance services, and preventive tasks as required.

Warranty & Sales Support

  • Support the Quality Engineer with documentation, including field visit reports and warranty replacements.
  • Provide inspection, service, site visit reports, and calibration certificates as required.
  • Support customers via phone, email, face‑to‑face meetings, and on‑site assistance with spare parts, services, and training.
  • Escalate issues beyond site‑level resolution and propose solutions.
  • Collaborate with Service Engineers and Sales Managers; raise alerts for issues affecting business functions.
  • Build strong customer relationships through responsive service delivery.
  • Monitor product performance and address related concerns.
  • Provide sales support to customer‑facing teams as needed.

Authorized Service Partner (ASP) Support

  • Support ASPs and end users in calibration, repair, maintenance, and training.
  • Assist ASPs in securing AMCs for existing installed bases.
  • Support implementation of MSA Service Policies with certified partners.
  • Conduct periodic ASP audits, ensure compliance, and recommend new ASPs when needed.

Market Research, Understanding & Representation

  • Represent MSA at local trade shows when required.
  • Attend internal service meetings and training.
  • Identify service channel gaps and help expand service coverage
Qualifications

Experience / Skills

  • 3-5 year’s of experience Hands on field experience in servicing of electronics, instrumentation, mechanical, and pneumatic products
  • Proven experience in commissioning, servicing, repairs, maintenance, and training
  • Troubleshooting, service reporting, and tracking
  • Ability to propose and secure long‑term service contracts
  • Act as the voice of the customer for service

Education / Certifications

  • University Diploma or Degree: Diploma in any specialization with 5 years’ work experience (or) Engineering Graduate in any specialization with 3 years’ work exp.
