We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our site-based construction management team you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cost management and quantity surveying for large-scale projects in the region.
- Prepare and analyze bills of quantities, cost estimates and tender documents for construction projects
- Conduct on-site measurements and valuations to track project progress and costs
- Manage contract administration including change orders, variations and claims
- Negotiate with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions
- Provide expert advice on contractual and commercial matters to project stakeholders
- Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for senior management
- Implement and maintain cost control systems to monitor project expenditures
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to optimize project delivery
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE
- Identify and mitigate potential cost risks throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field
- Professional certification from a recognized quantity surveying body (e.g. RICS, AACE)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying with a focus on site-based roles, including a minimum 3 years in Supervision Consultancy and an overall experience of 15 years
- Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software such as CostX and Buildsoft
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes
- Familiarity with construction industry standards and practices
- Understanding of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced dynamic environment
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Willingness to work on‑site and travel as required
