Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our site-based construction management team you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cost management and quantity surveying for large-scale projects in the region.

  • Prepare and analyze bills of quantities, cost estimates and tender documents for construction projects
  • Conduct on-site measurements and valuations to track project progress and costs
  • Manage contract administration including change orders, variations and claims
  • Negotiate with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions
  • Provide expert advice on contractual and commercial matters to project stakeholders
  • Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for senior management
  • Implement and maintain cost control systems to monitor project expenditures
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to optimize project delivery
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE
  • Identify and mitigate potential cost risks throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field
  • Professional certification from a recognized quantity surveying body (e.g. RICS, AACE)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying with a focus on site-based roles, including a minimum 3 years in Supervision Consultancy and an overall experience of 15 years
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software such as CostX and Buildsoft
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • In-depth knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes
  • Familiarity with construction industry standards and practices
  • Understanding of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Willingness to work on‑site and travel as required
