Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Abu Dhabi seeks a Lead Process Engineer with 15-18 years of experience in Process Engineering and Design of Oil & Gas facilities. The successful candidate will lead a team, ensuring adherence to project quality standards, and participate in feasibility studies and design phases. Applicants must have a BS in Chemical Engineering and hands-on experience with process simulation tools. This is a full-time position with no remote work option.

Job description

Reporting To - Process Department Manager

• Act as Process team lead (Lead Process Engineer) for Feasibility and Concept study / Pre-FEED / FEED / Detailed Engineering for the assigned projects.
• Lead a team of Process Engineers
• Ensure all Process engineering deliverables are prepared and issued in adherence with project schedule tender requirements fit for purpose and quality and complete the project within the budgeted hours.
• Prepare/Review of process simulations.
• Actively participate in workshops such as Design Review HAZID HAZOP SIL PHA Constructability Reviews and provide close out to process related actions.
• Ensure the Designers are familiarized with the scope of the project in order to prepare all drawings and detail in full compliance with the project requirements.
• Manages internal interfaces with Project Managers and Project Engineering Managers for the assigned projects.
• Provide technical guidance job training to discipline engineers / junior engineers to ensure schedule adherence and quality of engineering documents.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge in the relevant discipline.
• Strong design and analytical skills with problem solving ability.
• Good verbal and written communication report writing and presentation skills.
• Hands‑On experience in process simulation tools (HYSYS UNISIM PROMAX) Hydraulic Simulations (Pipenet Korf OLGA) Familiar with Aveva IED Tools Smart Plant (PID)
• Familiar with International codes and standards Company standards.

Experienced Technical

Minimum of 15-18 years of professional experience in Process Engineering and Design of Oil & Gas facilities (On-shore / Off-shore). Experience in feasibility studies conceptual design pre-FEED FEED and Detailed Design as a Lead Engineer.

Education

Academic Education to BS or equivalent level minimum in Chemical Engineering from accredited University. Postgraduate degree will be an advantage.
