A premier engineering recruitment service is seeking a Welding Co Ordinator/Welding Engineer in Abu Dhabi. This role requires overseeing pipeline welding activities, selecting qualified welders, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates will have at least 12 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector, possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, and be NDT level II certified. Excellent English communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience as a welding engineer in Oil & Gas.
• Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
• NDT level II certification in RT, UT, MT, PT.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and carry out activities related to pipeline welding.
• Select welders based on material requirements and monitor performance.
• Coordinate with NDT and inspection teams to ensure quality.

Skills

Technical experience in pipeline welding

Working knowledge of pipeline welding codes

Ability to read and implement construction drawings

Problem solving and decision-making ability

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Metallurgy or Mechanical)

Master's degree in Welding

International Welding Engineer Diploma (IWE, CWE or equivalent)
