Job Overview

AtkinsRalis is currently looking for highly experienced Operations engineer with experience in transportation sector. Candidate should have worked in a similar role with proven track record of working in critical government infrastructure projects preferably in transportation projects. Prior experience working as part of a PMC team will be a plus. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major metro rail project ensuring the effective management of the assets. Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies and plans for the metro rail project.
• Oversee the operational considerations by the design teams which might impact the daytoday operations of the metro rail systems after launch
• Ensure an effective safety process during Operational phase will be implemented and provisioned in the design and planning process by the contractor
• Coordinate with D&B contractors teams to ensure operational considerations are integrated into the projects design and construction phases.
• Lead the transition between the D&B contractor to the O&M contractor.
• Ensure all required documentation including manuals and other specifications are properly being recorded and in place to facilitate a smooth handover from D&B team to the O&M team
• Review the O&M Contractors procedures and plans
• Maintain a risk register and effective mitigation plans for potential risks during operations & maintenance
• Advise the Company of developments that may affect HSE operation & maintenance budgets or quality of product.
• Implementing and maintaining effective management planning and cost control systems for the O&M phase of the Project
• Monitor and analyze operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Implement and maintain an effective quality assurance process as related to Operational activities
• Prepare and present operational reports and updates to project stakeholders and senior management.
• Be knowledgeable of O&M Contract terms and conditions and administering the Contract in accordance with policies & procedures for the maximum benefit of the Company
• Ensure compliance of the contractors with all relevant operational regulations and standards.
• Provide training and support to project staff on operational best practices and procedures.
• Collaborate with other project teams to ensure seamless integration of operations with other project activities.
• Establish and maintain communications to ensure accurate and timely flow of information

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

• Bachelors degree in engineering Operations Management or a related field.

Knowledge and Experience

• Minimum of 1012 years of experience in physical security engineering preferably in rail /metro or strategic government assets projects.
• Proven experience in managing operations for largescale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of operational systems technologies and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
• UAE project experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to join quickly is preferred.
