Job summary

A leading construction management firm is seeking an experienced HSE Manager in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing health, safety, and environmental functions on-site, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, and implementing effective OSHE systems. Candidates should have a degree in safety or engineering with over 15 years of experience, including relevant management experience. Strong English communication skills and knowledge of safety regulations are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 15+ years of experience in the health and safety field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience (as a manager or above).
• In addition to the above qualifications, Practitioners shall be OSHAD- OSHMS Practitioner A Grade.

Responsibilities

• Reviews contract documents for OSHE requirements and advises Construction Manager.
• Develops and implements OSHE Systems.
• Performs Risk Assessment as deemed necessary.
• Leads HSE meetings on the project.

Skills

Excellent command of written and spoken English

Ability to prioritize, coordinate and complete tasks to meet deadlines

Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment

Education

Bachelors degree in occupational safety & Health or Engineering or equivalent

EHS-related masters degree

NEBOSH Diploma

Post-Secondary EHS Qualification (NVQ level 4 / 5)
