Job description

The Role Looking for an experienced Senior Engineer based in Dubai specializing in ELV, Information Technology (IT), AV, and Surveillance Systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 9 years of professional experience with leading engineering consulting firms focused on residential, hospitality, and commercial development projects. Additional experience working directly with property developers in the UAE real estate sector is highly desirable.

• Lead consultancy and technical reviews for ELV-related systems including : o Information Technology (IT) Systems — including Switching, Wireless Networks, High-Speed Internet Access (HSIA), IP Telephony o Security Systems o Audio Visual (AV) o Background Music (BGM) o Access Control Systems o Surveillance Systems (CCTV)
• Review and provide expert input on design packages at all stages : Concept, Schematic, Detailed, Tender, and Issued for Construction (IFC).
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and RFIs.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with designs and standards.
• Perform technical evaluation of tender submissions related to ELV, IT, AV, and Surveillance systems.
• Manage operational tickets associated to below systems o CCTV Systems o Access Control and Biometric Systems o AV and Background Music (BGM) o Digital Signage and Video Wall Displays
• Operational & hands-on experience on above systems is a must
• Independently lead solution assessment, detailed design, and preparation of Scope of Work (SOW) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for projects without external consultants.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, internal teams, and regulatory bodies to ensure successful project delivery.
• Prepare technical reports, value engineering recommendations, and system optimization strategies.
• Stay updated with local regulations of UAE industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• SIRA, ADMCC, Sharjah Police Certifications are advantageous.
• Networking (Switching & Wireless) knowledge is a must.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum 9 years of professional experience with leading engineering consulting firms specializing in residential, hospitality, and commercial development projects in the UAE.
• Additional experience working with top property developers in the UAE real estate sector is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to assess solutions, design systems, and prepare SOW and BOQ independently.
• Experience reviewing and managing design packages, shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and tender evaluations.
• Operational experience managing ELV and IT systems on contracting or client side.
• Familiarity with UAE regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong communication skills in English
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, RCSI, PMP, AVIXA CTS are advantageous.
• Valid UAE driving license required.
