Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our real estate development company in Ajman. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of UAE experience in the real estate development sector and a strong understanding of financial reporting, project accounting, and UAR VAT, CT regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
  • Monitor and manage project-based accounting, including cost tracking, revenue recognition, and profitability analysis.
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and CT regulations and assist in filing returns.
  • Coordinate with auditors and support the annual audit process.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for real estate projects.
  • Reconcile escrow accounts and monitor project progress payments.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Attending to customers calls, screen them for related concerns and sort them internally within department and respond. If queries related to other departments, timely forwarding the same to concerned departments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CA/ACCA is a plus).
  • Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in the real estate development industry (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT laws.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, or ERP systems).
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
