Overview

The Security Systems Expert is responsible for leading the planning, design, implementation, and integration of security systems—including CCTV, Access Control Systems (ACS), intrusion detection, and related technologies—across major rail and HSR projects. The role ensures that security solutions meet project requirements, international standards, and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of CCTV, ACS, intrusion, and integrated security systems for rail infrastructure.
• Develop system specifications, layouts, technical documentation, and interface requirements.
• Ensure compatibility and integration with other railway systems (SCADA, telecom, IT, etc.).
• Review contractor designs, submittals, technical studies, and vendor proposals.
• Ensure systems comply with industry standards (ONVIF, SIRA, ISO) and local authority requirements.
• Oversee installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of all security systems.
• Resolve technical issues during design, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Ensure system designs adhere to UAE and Middle East security regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments related to security vulnerabilities and propose mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, electrical, systems, and telecom engineers.
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and client workshops.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Master’s degree and/or Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in security systems engineering for rail/transportation infrastructure.
• Must have held the role of Security Systems Expert/Lead in at least one comparable large-scale project.
• Experience in HSR project implementation is highly preferred and mandatory where applicable.
• Middle East/UAE experience preferred; local experience mandatory.

Technical Competencies

• Expertise in CCTV, ACS, IDS, VSS, and integrated security platforms.
• Excellent understanding of networking, server systems, and system integration.
• Strong communication, design review, and problem‑solving skills.
