Job description

The Sales Specialist - Risk Intelligence is responsible for growing the Risk business in a defined territory through prospecting for new clients and developing new business opportunities within existing customer accounts. The Sales Specialist must have domain knowledge of Risk and Compliance requirements and workflow. This includes AML/KYC Screening, EDD and Regulatory Content within the financial markets. The successful candidate must be able to effectively position and demonstrate the Refinitiv solutions in this area and through a consultative sales process.

As a subject matter expert on sales and pursuit activities, you will act in support of Account Managers focusing on all sales (new, cross-sells, up-sells) for the organization's proposition and serve accounts within a defined territory. The role works in close partnership with internal stakeholders to proactively drive gross sales and revenue.

What You'll Do
  • Drive new business and product sales through new account acquisition and penetration of untapped buyer hubs, consistently delivering against targets in the assigned territory.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through strategic analysis, referrals, and market insights, targeting new logos and emerging client needs.
  • Lead a robust pipeline using Salesforce, ensuring accurate forecasting and consistent deal progression.
  • Structure, negotiate and close deals.
  • Proactively identify pipeline opportunities, working in tandem with the Account Managers.
  • Develop the sales strategy for their proposition within a given territory.
  • Provide insights and share LSEG thought leadership on their proposition with customers.
  • Deliver customer demonstrations on their specific propositions.
What You Need to Bring
  • Deep market understanding including: a) expert understanding of Risk and Compliance; b) knowledge of relevant market; c) strong understanding of customers' business model workflow.
  • World class selling skills (identify, develop, & articulate proposition/ consultative selling) as a “hunter”.
  • Strong sales ‘closer’.
  • Significant Product and Workflow Expertise: Risk, KYC/AML and Regulatory Content experience.
  • Creative thinker and good sales ideation skills.
  • Presentation skills (verbal & written).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize and execute a sales plan.
  • Executive presence.
