Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily accounting operations including accounts reconciliation journal entries and month-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations in all financial reporting.
• Support statutory audits by preparing accurate financial statements and documentation.
• Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
• Utilize Tally ERP and Microsoft Dynamics ERP to maintain and streamline financial systems.
• Perform in-depth financial analysis and provide actionable insights to support business decision-making.
• Maintain meticulous records and ensure data integrity across all accounting platforms.

Requirements

• Must have a total of 5 years of overall experience including a minimum of 3 years of proven accounting experience in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards as well as a clear understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax laws.
• Demonstrated expertise in accounts finalization and support during statutory audits.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP is required; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics ERP is a strong advantage.
• Skilled in MS Excel and other accounting software/tools.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
• Prior experience in the marine industry will be considered an added advantage.
• Capable of managing a team of accounting professionals and overseeing day-to-day financial operations.
