Position: Quantity Surveyor - Oil & Gas

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering

Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with a strong background in Fabrication, Modular Building, and EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates for projects in the Oil & Gas industry, including Fabrication, Modular Building, and EPC projects.
  • Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and contracts to identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports, cost reports, and other project documentation to clients and project managers.
  • Monitor project costs and budgets, and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify potential risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Review and negotiate change orders and variations with clients and subcontractors.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to verify quantities and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of all project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals and make recommendations to project managers.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise and support to project teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with a strong background in Fabrication, Modular Building, and EPC projects.
  • Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, techniques, and methods.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
