Job summary

A reputable engineering firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Mechanical Quality Inspector to ensure quality compliance in construction projects. Responsibilities include conducting inspections of piping and equipment installation, verifying materials against specifications, and maintaining quality records. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience. Strong communication skills and knowledge of quality management systems are essential for this role.

Job description
Overview

Job Purpose

Responsible for all Mechanical Quality inspections carryout the construction activities with approved quality documents and drawings.

Responsible to Preparation of all type WPS PQR and WQT as per organization and Projects requirement. Maintained Welders records and update the all welding work related logs.

Reporting to all site activities on weekly and monthly basis to Lead QA/QC.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspection of mechanical works such as piping structural static and rotating equipment installation.
  • Verify materials welding consumables and equipment meet approved specifications.
  • Review and ensure compliance with project drawings WPS and ITP requirements.
  • Witness and record fit-up welding dimensional hydrostatic and pneumatic tests.
  • Monitor welder qualifications and ensure adherence to approved WPS.
  • Coordinate with the client/consultant for inspections and approvals.
  • Ensure all inspection records test reports and quality documents are properly maintained.
  • Identify and report non-conformances and verify implementation of corrective actions.
  • Support QA/QC Engineer in maintaining the project quality system.
  • Participate in internal and external audits when required.
