Job summary

A leading construction company in Dubai is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality assurance procedures. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in the aluminium or façade industry, a relevant engineering degree, and strong communication skills. This role is critical for maintaining high standards in project delivery and compliance with ISO standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a QA/QC Engineer, preferably in the aluminium, glass or façade industry.
• Familiarity with façade systems such as curtain walls, cladding, structural glazing.
• Knowledge of fabrication and installation processes is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the project-specific QA/QC plan and procedures.
• Conduct internal audits and inspections to verify adherence to QA/QC protocols.
• Coordinate with the project team regarding quality issues.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance

• Implement and monitor the project-specific QA/QC plan and procedures

• Ensure all work complies with internal quality standards project specifications and relevant codes

• Conduct internal audits and inspections to verify adherence to QA/QC protocols

• Identify non-conformities and ensure corrective/preventive actions are taken

Quality Control

• Inspect incoming materials and verify compliance with approved material submittals

• Review and approve method statements inspection test plans (ITPs) and quality-related documents

• Supervise and conduct inspections at various stages: fabrication installation and finishing

• Coordinate third-party inspections and testing as required

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain comprehensive records of inspections test results non-conformances and quality reports

• Prepare and submit daily/weekly QA/QC reports to the Project Manager

• Ensure that all relevant QA/QC documents are updated and maintained in compliance with ISO standards

Coordination & Support

• Coordinate with the project team site engineers subcontractors and consultants regarding quality issues

• Support the site team in resolving technical issues related to materials methods and quality

• Attend quality meetings and participate in site progress reviews

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field

• 35 years of experience as a QA/QC Engineer preferably in the aluminium glass or façade industry

• In-depth knowledge of QA/QC procedures ISO standards and construction industry codes

• Familiarity with façade systems such as curtain walls cladding structural glazing ACP etc.

• Proficient in MS Office and quality reporting tools

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Detail-oriented with a proactive problem-solving approach

• Knowledge of fabrication and installation processes is a strong advantage
