Role Description

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) in Ras Al Khaimah is responsible for handling all government interactions and ensuring that the organization complies with RAK government regulations. The role covers visa processing, labor formalities, company licensing, RAK economic approvals, and interactions with authorities such as RAKEZ, RAK DOK, RAK Municipality, Police, MOHRE, GDRFA, ICP, and other regulatory bodies. For universities, the PRO also manages education-related submissions and approvals with RAK Department of Knowledge (RAK DOK) and Ministry of Education.

Key Responsibilities:
A. Government Relations (RAK-Specific)
  • Manage all applications, renewals, and cancellations via:
  • RAK Department of Economic Zone
  • RAK Chamber
  • RAK Immigration (GDRFA)
  • ICP (Federal Authority for Identity & Citizenship)
  • RAK Police
  • RAK Department of Knowledge (RAK DOK) – for education institutions
  • Handle establishment card renewals, company license renewals, and trade name registrations.
  • Submit and track approvals for new activities, expansions, inspections, and permits.
  • Process employment visas, labor contracts, work permits, and renewals through MOHRE, GDRFA, and ICP portals.
  • Manage medical test appointments, Emirates ID applications, and stamping.
  • Handle visa cancellations, absconding procedures, and status change processes.
  • Assist employees with family visa and dependent‑related government services.
C. Documentation, Records & Compliance
  • Maintain up‑to‑date records of all visas, employee documents, company licenses, and approvals.
  • Track expiry dates (licenses, visas, passports, establishment cards) and initiate timely renewals.Draft and issue official letters, NOCs, authorizations, and attestations as required.
  • Ensure the organization stays fully compliant with RAKEZ, RAK DOC and UAE laws to avoid fines or violations.
D. External Coordination
  • Represent the organization professionally during visits to government entities.
  • Handle inspections, follow‑up visits, and document submissions.
  • Build effective working relationships with government officials and departments.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of PRO experience within Ras Al Khaimah.
  • Strong knowledge of MOHRE, GDRFA, ICP, RAKEZ, RAK Municipality, and RAK DOK systems.
  • Valid UAE Driving License required.
