JOB ADVERT: Equity Trader – Al Ramz Market Maker

Job Summary: Al Ramz Capital L.L.C is seeking an Equity Trader to join our growing team. This role will contribute to the execution of trading activities within the Market Making or Liquidity Provision (MMLP) desks. The role focuses on optimizing performance and returns for both the firm"s trading desk and its MMLP clients, while ensuring full compliance with internal policies, operational standards, and regulatory requirements governing trading activities.

Responsibilities
  • Trading: Execute Market Making or Liquidity Providing transactions on a daily basis, within the approved mandates and regulatory parameters. Aim to achieve client and company objectives related to stock liquidity and health and P&L targets. Ensure all obligations are fulfilled across both cash equities and derivatives markets, or any contractual obligations related to the liquidity provision business.
  • Quality Management and Business KPIs: Deliver consistent trading performance and maintain high-quality service standards for the MMLP business lines. Meet or exceed the KPIs set by Management. Analyze market trends and develop trading strategies to maximize returns for the company and its clients.
  • Adherence to law: Ensure all trading activities are conducted in full compliance with regulatory requirements. Regularly review and verify trading operations to confirm adherence to applicable laws, internal policies, and procedures. Ensure errors are minimized, promptly detected, controlled, and reported.
  • Internal Liaison: Effectively communicate, establish regular interaction, and maintain formal relationships with all internal departments - including the Customer Management Team, Finance & Operations, and Branch Offices - to ensure and facilitate smooth, single-point service delivery to all Al Ramz Market Maker clients as required.
  • Knowledge Development: Stay continuously informed of market news, trends, and developments. Enhance expertise in trading, technical and fundamental analysis, and maintain proactive and up-to-date knowledge of the companies and stocks being traded.
Qualifications and experience
  • Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business
  • Knowledge in UAE equity markets is an advantage
  • ADX and DFM Trading Licenses (preferred)
  • Desirable: Professional certifications (CMT or CFA)
  • Experience: minimum 2 years of industry experience in an active trading role
  • Experience in UAE markets is a plus
