Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the Group's project planning program against targets, identify deviations and escalate material risks to the Head of Project Planning.
  • Develop and maintain Group-specific planning policies, procedures and tools in line with ADNOC guidelines.
  • Provide technical advice on planning and scheduling challenges faced by project teams.
  • Verify dashboards and reports are complete and accessible to stakeholders.

The role also contributes to competency development, assurance reviews and the improvement of project controls practices across ADNOC Group Companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Scheduling - Monitor the Group 's project planning program against established targets, identify deviations and escalati material risks to the Head of Project Planning.
  • Develop and maintain Group-specific planning policies, procedures, methods and tools consistent with ADNOC guidelines and the Value Assurance Process.
  • Provide technical advice on planning and scheduling challenges encountered by project teams.
  • Verify that project dashboards and reports are accurate, complete, consistent and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Highlight matters requiring Group Company management or shareholder attention.
  • Participate in independent project reviews and other assurance activities to assess compliance and identify opportunities to improve project value.
  • Contribute to initiatives that strengthen capital project delivery and coordination among technical disciplines.
  • Support competency assessments, career development and deployment guidance for project planning personnel.
Project Controls and Delivery Assurance

Work with Project Managers to apply approved planning methods, reporting templates and control processes to individual projects. Maintain planning information for strategic projects and assess schedule performance, emerging issues and proposed mitigation measures.

  • Support the ongoing review and updating of project risk registers.
  • Coordinate timely Management of Change (MoC) activities for changes affecting projects or assets.
  • Identify proposed or emerging scope changes and make their potential schedule and cost consequences visible to project leadership and clients.
  • Prepare periodic project progress reports, monthly updates and dashboard indicators for Group Company management, shareholders and project controls teams.
  • Provide timely performance information to Project Managers, Project Controls Managers and Group Company Project Services teams.
  • Attend Project Management Team meetings to explain progress, risks and schedule outlook.
  • Guide project team members on approved project control procedures and templates.
Standards, Improvement and Technical Coordination

Support the development of technical discipline coordination and technical authority frameworks across ADNOC Group Companies. Review lessons learned and benchmarking findings to improve planning practices, reporting quality and capital delivery processes. Recommend practical tools and process changes where they can increase consistency and efficiency.

Team, Budget and Performance Responsibilities
  • Coordinate assigned activities and provide coaching to personnel involved in project planning and controls.
  • Contribute to budget preparation, approved work plans and monitoring of significant cost variances.
  • Implement relevant organizational policies, standards, systems and procedures.
  • Support performance objectives and provide management information and progress reporting.
  • Comply with applicable HSE requirements, legislation, sustainability guidelines and ADNOC Codes of Practice.
Stakeholder Relationships

The specialist works with senior leaders and project representatives across ADNOC functions and Group Companies, including project vice presidents and relevant directorates. External coordination may involve shareholders, contractors, vendors and third-party service providers.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor 's degree in Engineering, Science, Project Management or a relevant discipline.

Experience and Knowledge
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience with national oil companies, international oil companies or engineering, procurement and construction management organizations.
  • At least 4 years addressing technical discipline challenges in an Expert, Principal or Discipline Technical Authority role.
  • Substantial major-project management or engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of Project Management Consultancy (PMC) frameworks and their implementation.
  • Practical understanding of project planning, scheduling, performance reporting, risk management and change control.
