Position Overview ADNOC Group is seeking a Specialist - Project Planning and Scheduling for a Full Time, on-site role in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The position provides technical support for project planning, scheduling and controls across ADNOC and its Group Companies. The role supports consistent planning methodologies, standards, reporting and assurance practices while strengthening project planning capabilities and providing timely insight into project progress, risks, changes and performance across the capital delivery program.

Planning Assurance and Reporting
- Maintain the accuracy, completeness, transparency and consistency of project planning reports and dashboards.
- Ensure relevant reports are distributed to appropriate stakeholders and that key information is clearly understood.
- Highlight significant issues requiring Group Company management or shareholder attention.
- Participate in assurance audits and project reviews, including Independent Project Reviews.
- Assess alignment of projects with ADNOC policies and identify opportunities to enhance overall project value.
- Support benchmarking and lessons learned activities to improve planning practices.
Capital Delivery Improvement
- Plan and execute initiatives aimed at improving the capital delivery program and maximizing ADNOC value.
- Support development of Project Planning competency and career development programs.
- Contribute to clear deployment guidelines that help maintain the planning capability required for successful capital project delivery.
- Support development of technical discipline coordination and the Technical Authority Framework.
- Promote alignment of technical resources and activities across ADNOC Group Companies.
Project Controls
- Support Project Managers in controlling project planning activities using Company methodologies, processes and templates.
- Maintain planning requirements for strategic projects.
- Monitor project progress and performance and support timely identification of potential issues.
- Assist in defining and tracking appropriate mitigation actions.
- Support project risk management and regular updates of project-level risk registers.
- Support timely Management of Change activities for changes that may affect the asset or project.
- Track changes and potential changes to project scope.
- Ensure estimated cost and schedule impacts associated with changes are visible to the client and project management.
- Support effective administration of the Management of Change process.
Project Performance Reporting
- Prepare periodic project reports and monthly performance information.
- Develop key dashboard indicators for Group Company management and shareholders.
- Provide relevant planning and scheduling information to asset-level teams and Group Company Project Control functions.
- Provide Project Managers, Project Controls Managers and Group Company Project Services with timely project performance information.
- Participate in regular Project Management Team meetings.
- Present information covering project progress, risks, trajectory and other relevant performance matters.
- Address planning and project control queries raised by project stakeholders.
- Support Project Management Teams in understanding project control methodologies, processes and templates.
Team Supervision and Development
Plan, supervise and coordinate activities within the assigned area to achieve functional objectives. Train and develop assigned personnel in relevant skills to strengthen technical proficiency and support delivery of section objectives.
Budgets and Cost Control
- Provide input for preparation of Unit, Department, or Section budgets.
- Assist with implementation of approved budgets and work plans.
- Investigate and highlight significant variances.
- Support effective performance monitoring and cost control.
Policies, Systems and Procedures
- Implement approved Unit, Department, or Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures to support execution of work programs in accordance with Company and international standards.
Performance and Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to achievement of approved performance objectives in accordance with the Company Performance framework.
- Design and implement tools and techniques that improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve internal processes against relevant industry practices.
- Support practical improvements to project planning and control methodologies.
- Promote ownership, process improvement and effective resolution of conflicting priorities across project functions.
HSE and Sustainability
Comply with applicable HSE policies, procedures and controls, relevant legislation and sustainability guidelines in accordance with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Codes of Practice.
Management Reporting
Provide inputs for Unit, Department, or Section MIS and progress reports required by Company Management.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor 's Degree in Engineering, Science, Project Management, or a relevant discipline.
- 10 years of relevant experience within National Oil Companies, International Oil Companies, or EPC and EPCM organizations.
- At least 4 years of experience addressing technical discipline challenges as an Expert, Principal, or Discipline Technical Authority.
- Major Project Management or Engineering experience is essential.
- Good knowledge and experience in defining and implementing PMC frameworks.
- Experience in project planning, scheduling and project controls.
- Knowledge of project performance reporting, risk management and Management of Change processes.
- Understanding of project assurance, planning methodologies, governance processes and capital project delivery.
