Title: Project Manager – Landscape

Project Manager – Landscape

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

KBR has been appointed under a framework agreement with the largest developer in Abu Dhabi to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects that contribute to Abu Dhabi's growth. This includes developing essential infrastructure such as transportation networks and utilities, alongside public spaces and involving also the shaping of thriving communities by managing the development of residential housing projects and ensuring the quality of new educational facilities, together with the development of mosques and maximizing urban space through infill development projects. This PMC role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on Abu Dhabi's built environment.

The Role

Reports to the Project Director for ensuring delivery of 1 or more project sites.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the execution of landscaping construction contracts in alignment with project objectives.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
  • Monitor and report on project progress against approved schedules and milestones.
  • Present progress reports, dashboards, and key updates to PMC management and the client.
  • Coordinate with the assigned engineer to ensure proper administration of the contract in compliance with the contract terms & conditions.
  • Ensure quality standards are met in all aspects of the works, in accordance with project specifications and client expectations.
  • Enforce highest standards of health and safety compliance as a priority through all stages of the project.
  • Identify potential risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Manage change processes effectively, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  • Provide input and analysis for contractor extension of time (EOT) claims.
  • Ensure familiarity with authority handover requirements and integrate them into project planning.
  • Ensure the engineer is managing the permitting, NOCs, and material approval processes in compliance with local authority regulations.
  • Develop a high‑performing team that strives for quality, safety, cost, and schedule improvements at every opportunity with all delivery partners, challenging and seeking to improve the project deliverables.
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
  • BSc, engineering, architecture or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 15 years overall experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in the Middle East.
  • CLMI required.
  • Experience managing the facilities design, or the planning and coordination of capital projects that included the overall design, contract administration, cost estimating, and scheduling activities.
  • Knowledge of operational aspects of civil infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and utilities with experience in construction management.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills and user of MS Office.
  • A high standard of spoken and written English; Arabic speaking advantageous.
