Job description

AECOM are seeking a highly skilled Pre-Contract Project Manager with a strong background in Architecture or MEP / Structural disciplines to oversee the planning and coordination of projects during the pre-construction phase. This role is critical to ensuring project feasibility cost effectiveness and readiness for execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the pre-contract phase of multi-disciplinary construction projects.
  • Coordinate design development across Architectural MEP and Structural teams.
  • Develop and manage project briefs design programs and milestone schedules.
  • Ensure design output aligns with project scope budget and client expectations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for consultants clients and internal stakeholders during the pre-contract phase.
  • Facilitate design and technical coordination meetings.
  • Provide clear communication of project objectives deliverables and timelines.
  • Identify design and procurement risks early and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to value engineering exercises to optimize cost without compromising quality or performance.
  • Ensure all design and tender documents comply with relevant codes standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all pre-contract activities correspondence and approvals.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Architecture Building Services or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in project management with a focus on pre-contract design phase
  • Proven track record in managing complex construction or engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
  • Excellent skills in contract negotiation risk assessment and stakeholder management
