Job Summary

GluCare Integrated Diabetes Center is seeking a dynamic and detailoriented Project Coordinator with a strong background in biomedical engineering and healthcare facility development. This role is focused on coordinating and managing brownfield construction and refurbishment projects within our existing healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with contractors architects equipment suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time within budget and to healthcare regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

• Lead the coordination of brownfield healthcare facility expansion or modification projects from design through execution and handover.
• Collaborate with architects engineers and contractors to ensure alignment with clinical and operational needs.
• Maintain and monitor project schedules budgets and scope of work.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary liaison between internal departments (clinical nonclinical IT admin) and external vendors.
• Manage relationships with regulatory authorities and ensure all local compliance standards (e.g. DHA MOHRE Civil Defense) are met.

Technical Oversight

• Coordinate with biomedical equipment suppliers to ensure timely procurement installation and testing of medical and nonmedical equipment.
• Review architectural and MEP drawings to ensure functionality and clinical workflow are optimized.

Execution & Site Management

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is progressing as per specifications and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot project issues in real time escalating risks and implementing corrective measures when needed.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including budgets timelines vendor communications and progress reports.
• Prepare and deliver regular updates to leadership on key project milestones and risks.

Understand follow and support all hospital infection control programs

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering Healthcare Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience (35 years) coordinating healthcare facility builds or renovations preferably brownfield projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage diverse stakeholders including contractors architects and equipment vendors.
• Excellent understanding of medical equipment planning patient workflow and healthcare infrastructure requirements.
• Familiarity with UAE regulatory requirements and healthcare licensing bodies (DHA MOH etc.) is a strong advantage.
• Strong project management skills with proficiency in tools such as MS Project Asana or similar platforms.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
