Job description

We are looking to hire a talented Project Contracts Manager for one of our clients, based in UAE.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control expenditure on all Company developments by controlling the “cost of sales”.
  • Ensure that all Company Commercial policies and procedures are adhered to within the company.
  • Ensure information security management system is implemented at project.
  • Review all Contractual clarifications and participate for negotiations.
  • Lead & evaluate the status of Projects & Contract QSs, arrange periodical guidance/awareness programs, implement suitable in-house Trainings and apprise the Management.
  • Review the Terms & Conditions of concerned Projects’ contracts, participate for site inspections, and apprise Chief Operating Officer through the Manager Contracts and Admin & Construction or Project Manager on feasible & alternative projects contractual aspect.
  • Build a good working rapport with customers, consultants and key members of supply chain and ensures there is good open dialogue throughout the project.
  • Review the existing Projects Contractual discrepancies and advise Project Management for appropriate actions beforehand.
  • Monitor closely the financial status of the contracts, cost control, Project closeout & settlement of financial accounts & advice the Projects Management as & when necessary.
  • Works closely with the project quantity surveyor (QS) to produce procurement schedules linked to the construction program.
  • Ensures that the site team is working in accordance with the latest information, maintaining the drawing register and all other relevant records.
  • Review & certify of Payment certificates, Analysis of claims, evaluation of new unit rates and advice the Concerned Project Manager & Manager Contracts & Admin.
  • Review the cost analysis with the Tender estimates, check noticeable variances for corrective action & appraise the relevant authority.
  • Perform additional duties as required by Manager Contracts and Admin/ Project Manager.
  • Promote QHSE & ISMS policies within the company and ensure that the quality, environmental, health, safety & Information Security management system procedures are followed at all times, striving for continuous improvement until the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System is achieved.
Qualifications
  • Educational Qualification: Degree in Civil Engineer/Quantity Surveying or any other relevant discipline from Reputed University with Sound Academic Merits.
  • Number of years of experience: Over 15 years.
  • Specialized trainings required: MRICS, MSCS, PMAQS & PRQS / MMUP.
  • Area of experience required: Dispute resolution, Remediation, Claims & Arbitration.
  • Competency requirements: Adequate knowledge in UAE Labour Law & working legislation of UAE.
  • Sound knowledge and expertise in developing, negotiating, and monitoring the contract with multi-disciplined construction activities in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to lead a work team and foster an environment that is safe and encourage a team spirit and recognition of good performance.
  • Ability to interact effectively and in supportive manner with work force of all backgrounds.
  • Sound understanding of the application of MS Office.
