At Engine by Starling, we are on a mission to partner with leading banks worldwide that aspire to build rapid‑growth businesses using our technology. Engine is the SaaS core of Starling Bank, now a standalone business headquartered in London with offices in Dublin, Sydney, Dubai, and the UK. Your role will be based in Dubai and may involve travel.
Engine follows a hybrid model; we prefer staff to work from our Dubai office 4–5 days a week, but international travel may be required depending on client engagements.
About the role
Product Consultant – Client Solutions Division. Help establish, grow and scale Engine’s Middle Eastern business and ensure successful implementation of the Engine Platform for regional clients. The role is a unique early‑hire opportunity, opening across business development, client discovery, and implementation phases.
What you'll get to do
- Contribute to the global Engine business as it scales, sharing regional learnings with central and other regional teams.
- Build strong internal and client/partner relationships, from initial contact through to implementation.
Client Discovery & Delivery
- Work with product and engineering teams during Discovery and Delivery to agree on programme requirements and schedule, supporting current and future clients.
- Support Engine’s Client Delivery function during platform implementation, including transition from delivery to go‑live.
- Use your understanding of the Engine product and domain knowledge to present clear, compelling solutions, supporting integration and localisation.
Business development
- Support early‑stage conversations, workshops, and demos, identifying and qualifying opportunities and contributing to marketing activities and conferences in the region.
- Drive strategic client opportunities, including commercial and contractual conversations, pitch preparation, and thought‑leadership events.
- Foster and maintain relationships with implementation partners to drive collaborative go‑to‑market strategies.
Requirements
Your background
- 2+ years in client‑facing, consulting, or technology roles.
- Experience in financial services, ideally in the Middle East.
- Experience supporting large‑scale, complex programmes.
- Rapidly understand client problems and present structured, informative solutions.
- Enthusiasm for Engine’s transformative technology in banking.

Interview Process
- Initial video interview with a BD or Client team member – 45 minutes.
- In‑depth interviews with additional BD and/or Client team members – 60 minutes.
- Final interview with CDO/CCO – ~45 minutes.
