Bidfood ME is one of the leading foodservice companies in the UAE and Middle East, looking for a motivated and enthusiastic myBidfood Acquisition Specialist. The primary purpose of the role is to drive the sales and profitability of myBidfood by identifying, engaging, and onboarding complimentary local supplier, in line with the categories which are available in the portfolio which ensuring a long-term relationship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track the number of potential suppliers identified.
  • Evaluate the quality of leads based on relevance to business needs.
  • Build Relationships
  • Record the number of meetings/calls with potential suppliers.
  • Gather satisfaction ratings from suppliers to gauge relationship strength.
  • Conduct Negotiations
  • Measure the number of agreements reached with suppliers.
  • Assess the value of agreements in terms of volume, pricing, profitability, etc.
  • Monitor the time taken for the onboarding process.
  • Track the completion rate of the onboarding process for suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
  • Record the frequency of communication with internal teams.
  • Evaluate alignment of strategies and objectives across departments.
  • Monitor Performance
  • Analyze supplier performance metrics like fill rate and order accuracy.
  • Gather customer feedback on supplier performance.
  • Stay Updated
  • Assess knowledge of industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Identify new opportunities and potential suppliers through market analysis.
  • Measure Profitability
  • Calculate profit margin on products sourced from new suppliers in line with company strategy.
  • Track cost savings achieved through supplier negotiations.
Qualifications
  • Ecommerce experience (Implementations/marketing/integrations)
  • 2-3 years in the UAE
  • University Degree, Masters preferred in Ecommerce or business administration.
