Job Description

Role summary:

The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the procurement function within the business. The procurement function is developing and maturing as the business continues to grow and the incumbent will be required to demonstrate the ability to lead continuous improvement, proactively.

The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities from sourcing to purchase, for all business goods and services. They are to seek to continuously improve us through life good distribution practice (GDP), stock management, asset management and disposals and will be responsible for developing efficient strategies and policies to achieve financial and operational targets.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Implement procurement and supply chain policies to improve delivery quality, timelines, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate proactively with in country project teams and operations management to enhance processes and systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement services for internal and external customers focusing on quality, cost, and timelines.
  • Monitor spend and inventory performance weekly and monthly to ensure accuracy and cost control.
  • Review existing supplier contracts and issue & manage tenders to secure best value.
  • Oversee all service contracts (issue, renew, close, retender) and oversee supplier performance meets agreed standards.
  • Lead and develop the procurement team to deliver operational excellence.
  • Work closely with Finance Team to manage purchasing / ERP system.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations to oversee asset management (new equipment, refurbishments, repairs, calibrations etc).
  • Collaborate with GH Medical Supply to align on medical supply requirements and leverage expertise and supply chain base for the benefit of Iqarus operations.
  • Act as a ‘culture carrier’ for Iqarus, through effective leadership, fostering open communication, empowerment and cross team collaboration to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Support the Finance team (FP&A) for the BU/Forecast exercise, monthly closing. And provide accurate and timely information to the Working Capital Lead for client billing purposes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or similar subject
  • 5 + years’ experience in international procurement ideally within the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare sector
  • Proven expertise in medical supply procurement is highly desirable, complimented by strong knowledge of freight forwarding and supply chain management.
  • CIPP, CIPSC, IACCM certified would be an advantage
