We are currently recruiting for PMC Engineer (Construction- Piping) role to support our ADNOC Onshore project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based at onshore site in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

THE ROLE

The Senior Construction Engineer - Piping is responsible for overseeing, supervising, and managing all piping construction activities at site to ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and international codes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Construction & Site Management

  • Supervise and monitor piping construction activities including fabrication, erection, welding, NDT, testing, flushing, reinstatement, and commissioning support.
  • Ensure construction works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, ADNOC standards, and project procedures.
  • Coordinate daily construction activities with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and other disciplines.
  • Review and approve method statements, work packs, ITPs, and construction schedules.
  • Monitor manpower, equipment, and material deployment for efficient execution.

Quality Assurance & Control

  • Ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements, welding procedures (WPS/PQR), and approved ITPs.
  • Review inspection reports, punch lists, and ensure timely close‑out of NCRs and site observations.
  • Verify piping installation, alignment, supports, and materials comply with approved documents.

HSE Compliance

  • Enforce ADNOC HSE policies, life‑saving rules, and project HSE plans at site.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, HAZIDs, HAZOPs, and risk assessments.
  • Stop unsafe work and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.

Interface & Coordination

  • Interface with engineering, QA/QC, HSE, planning, and commissioning teams.
  • Coordinate with client representatives and attend site meetings, progress reviews, and technical discussions.
  • Support resolution of site technical issues, RFIs, and construction‑related deviations.

Progress & Reporting

  • Monitor construction progress against approved baseline schedule.
  • Review contractor daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
  • Identify risks, delays, and recommend mitigation measures.

Commissioning & Handover

  • Support pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure piping systems are mechanically complete and ready for commissioning.
  • Assist in system handover, documentation review, and final close‑out.
QUALIFICATIONS

Expected

  • A bachelor's degree in relevant engineering (i.e. Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Environmental, Chemical, IT, Computer, Software, Electronic, etc.) or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of ten (10+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry including minimum five (5) years (preferred) in GCC region.
  • Professional certifications (CSWIP, PMP, or equivalent) are an advantage.
  • At least 5 years in PMC role on ADNOC Onshore or similar Middle East projects.
  • Strong experience in piping construction for upstream oil & gas facilities (pipelines, well pads, process plants, utilities)
  • Strong knowledge of ADNOC Onshore standards, specifications, and procedures.
  • Familiar with international codes: ASME B31.3/B31.4/B31.8, API, ASTM.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple contractors and site priorities.
  • Proficient in construction planning and progress monitoring.
