Job description
Scope and Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to support our legal team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the regulatory environment in the UAE and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. This role involves assisting with document drafting, administrative support and legal research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and compile information on legal compliance and data privacy topics to support the Head of Department (HOD) and the team.
  • Create and revise legal documents such as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
  • Maintain and systematically organize confidential legal records.
  • Keep abreast of legal and regulatory changes in the UAE.
  • Offer comprehensive administrative support to the legal and compliance team including:
    • Manage the document filing
    • Organize and maintain physical folders
    • Manage and update the internal contract database
    • Manage and update the business partner database
    • Manage and update the company SharePoint with current subsidiary information
    • Organize and maintain confidential legal records.
  • Perform screenings and handle the renewal or filing of due diligence documents.
  • Assist colleagues in gathering, submitting and renewing documents.
  • Collaborate with peers from other departments to gather documents for business partners.
  • Collaborate with peers from other departments on different matters related to legal compliance and data privacy.
  • Aid colleagues in completing and renewing Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.
  • Manage and file corporate documents ensuring availability to colleagues as needed.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Law, Legal Studies or a related field.
  • Minimum 25 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant preferably in the UAE.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic and or French is an advantage.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience in corporate commercial and banking is advantageous.
