Job summary

A leading engineering company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Specialist Digitalization Engineer to lead the integration of Operational Technology systems with Corporate IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in OT/IT integration, particularly in the oil & gas sector. Strong communication skills and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field are required. This role supports the digital transformation initiatives of the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in OT/IT integration, preferably in oil & gas or industrial automation.
• Strong understanding of industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA/DA, MQTT, PROFINET).
• Familiarity with IT networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs).

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of Operational Technology (OT) systems with Corporate IT infrastructure.
• Ensure seamless data flow from field devices to enterprise systems.
• Support deployment of digital platforms including historians and edge devices.

Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Effective communication and collaboration across departments

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or Computer Engineering
