Overview
The Logistics and Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse and logistics operations to ensure efficient storage, movement, and distribution of goods. The role focuses on optimizing processes, maintaining accurate inventory control, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and leading warehouse and logistics teams to achieve operational excellence.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily warehouse and logistics operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Plan, manage, and coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including transportation and delivery schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensure accurate stock control, and maintain proper documentation and reporting.
- Implement and maintain best practices in warehousing and logistics to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, sales, and production teams to ensure timely availability and delivery of goods.
- Develop, implement, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse and logistics operations.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and OHS regulations and company policies.
- Recruit, train, schedule, motivate, and evaluate warehouse personnel to foster a high-performance work culture.
- Address and resolve issues related to transportation delays, delivery challenges, and stock discrepancies.
- Direct receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities to maximize space utilization and workflow efficiency.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct cycle counts, manage stock levels, and ensure system data accuracy.
- Enforce strict safety, hygiene, and security standards within warehouse and logistics operations.
