The Operations Lead will take day-to-day ownership of Amazon Now operations across either one large site or a group of smaller locations. The position spans under-the-roof store activity and on-road delivery execution, requiring close coordination with associates, third-party store operators, and Delivery Service Partners. This role is central to maintaining the speed, reliability, safety, and cost discipline required in quick commerce. By strengthening frontline performance, applying consistent operating standards, and improving site processes, the Operations Lead will help Amazon scale a new delivery model while protecting customer experience and workforce morale.
The position is suited to an operations professional with experience leading teams in logistics, quick commerce, grocery delivery, fulfillment, retail operations, transportation, or another high-volume service environment. Candidates should be comfortable managing both facility-based and last-mile activities and should understand the importance of balancing speed with safety, quality, customer service, and cost. The successful candidate will be able to coach associates, manage performance issues, implement training plans, and maintain team engagement while delivering demanding operational targets.
Experience working with third-party operators or Delivery Service Partners is particularly valuable because the role requires strong influence across teams that may not report directly to the Operations Lead. A practical understanding of continuous improvement, 4M analysis, 5S workplace organization, operational auditing, and performance metrics will support success in this position.
