The Operations Lead will take day-to-day ownership of either a large operating site or a group of smaller sites, connecting store activity with last-mile delivery execution. The Operations Lead will also act as a stand-in for the Area Manager when required, making sound operational decisions while protecting service quality, safety, team morale, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end daily operations for a large site or a combination of smaller Amazon Now locations.
• Supervise store operations and maintain effective coordination between on-site activities and last-mile delivery services.
• Work with third-party store operators and Delivery Service Partners to support reliable order fulfillment and delivery execution.
• Deliver customer-facing performance metrics while maintaining agreed operating cost targets.
• Track under-the-roof and on-the-road productivity, service quality, safety, and operational performance.
• Lead associates through practical coaching, performance feedback, and clearly defined expectations.
• Apply attendance and operational policies fairly and consistently across the team.
• Identify performance gaps and implement focused training and development plans for associates.
• Use operating data and site observations to identify bottlenecks, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Drive continuous process improvements that produce sustainable gains rather than short-term fixes.
• Conduct daily 4M audits covering Man, Machine, Material, and Method to identify operational risks and deficiencies.
• Perform daily 5S audits to maintain organized, efficient, standardized, and safe store environments.
• Protect workforce morale while maintaining accountability for productivity, quality, and safety expectations.
• Escalate and resolve operational issues that could affect delivery speed or the customer experience.
• Provide leadership coverage and perform Area Manager responsibilities when required.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor 's degree.
• Practical experience within e-commerce, retail, or a related high-volume operating environment.
• Previous exposure to warehouse operations, logistics, fulfillment, or comparable operational activities.
• Proven ability to manage daily execution against measurable service, productivity, cost, and safety targets.
• Experience coaching employees and addressing performance issues constructively.
• Comfortable working with third-party operators and delivery partners in a fast-moving environment.
• Able to interpret operational metrics and translate findings into corrective actions.
• Strong organizational judgment when managing competing priorities and time-sensitive problems.
• Fluent English speaking, reading, and writing skills are preferred.
• Capable of stepping into broader site leadership responsibilities when business requirements demand it.
