Job description

This role is responsible for managing all official communication and regulatory processes with UAE government entities, including ministries, immigration, MOHRE. This includes processing employment visas, Emirates IDs, labor cards, and medical tests, while ensuring full compliance with the latest local laws and regulations. The PRO provides guidance to HR and employees on government-related procedures, maintains accurate records of all transactions, represents the organization in external and governmental matters, and manages data entry and document submissions on platforms such as Tasheel, E-Channel, GDRFA, and MOHRE.

Responsibilities

The post holder will:

  • Manage the system entries and document submissions on government portals such as Tasheel, E-Channel, GDRFA, MOHRE and others.
  • Handle the full process of visa applications (new, renewal, and cancellation) for employees, ensuring documentation is correct and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and accompany employees for medical fitness testing, fingerprinting, Emirates ID applications, and other legal requirements as mandated by UAE authorities.
  • Liaise with relevant government bodies such as the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MOHRE), General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) as required.
  • Ensure the company’s compliance with labor laws, immigration regulations, and other applicable government rules by monitoring updates and implementing changes as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all documents submitted and received from governmental bodies for audit and reference purposes.
  • Support new employee onboarding by ensuring the timely processing of employment visas, labor cards, and residency permits.
  • Provide employees and management with updates regarding application statuses, documentation requirements, and any delays or escalations with authorities.
  • Ensure timely renewals of expiring documents, including Emirates IDs, passports, labor contracts, and company registrations to avoid penalties.
  • Assist with resolving issues or delays arising from governmental transactions, including labor disputes, immigration holds, or visa rejections.
  • Represent the organization at government offices when submitting documents or attending regulatory meetings.
  • Coordinate with HR, Admin, and Finance departments to ensure seamless workflows and support for staff on legal and documentation matters.
  • Actively maintain a network of government contacts to streamline communication and stay informed of changes in policies or procedures.
Qualifications

Education and Certification

High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred

Valid UAE driver’s license

Certification in PRO services or government relations is an advantage

Knowledge and Skills

Strong knowledge of UAE labor law, visa regulations.

Proficiency in using government portals such as Tasheel, GDRFA, DHA, and MOHRE

Effective communication skills in Arabic and English

Ability to manage sensitive documentation with confidentiality and accuracy

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with government officials

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
