An international agricultural organization is looking for a National Professional Officer (Administration) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Staff members in this category are recruited locally and paid according to a local salary scale. Salary scales are reviewed periodically on the basis of comprehensive surveys of the best prevailing conditions of employment in the locality. FAO’s Subregional Office for the Gulf Cooperation Council States and Yemen (SNG) is responsible for developing, promoting, overseeing and implementing agreed strategies for addressing subregional food, agriculture and rural development priorities. It develops and maintains relations with subregion‑wide institutions including Regional Economic Integration Organisations (REIOs). The Subregional Office is a subsidiary of FAO’s Regional Office for Near East and North Africa (RNE). The position is located in SNG in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The National Professional Officer (Administration) reports to the Subregional Coordinator (SRC) for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States and Yemen.
Programme administration and financial management including accounting and personnel administration.
Effective and efficient provision of administrative support to the programme and project activities of the Subregional Office.
