Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced MEP Engineer (Mechanical) to plan, coordinate, and execute mechanical works on-site in line with approved drawings, project specifications, safety standards, and timelines. The role involves supervising MEP/mechanical installations, coordinating with consultants and multiple disciplines, and ensuring quality, safety, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities
- Review and study mechanical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Execute and supervise mechanical works, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and drainage systems.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and architectural teams to avoid clashes and ensure smooth execution.
- Prepare method statements, material submittals, and shop drawings for approval.
- Monitor site activities to ensure that work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Ensure full compliance with quality standards, HSE requirements, and project guidelines.
- Conduct site inspections and coordinate with consultants for approvals and clearances.
- Manage subcontractors, site manpower, and daily work activities efficiently.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Identify material requirements and coordinate with the procurement team to avoid delays.
- Attend site and coordination meetings and provide technical support when required.
- Ensure timely completion of mechanical works within the approved budget and project timelines.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–7 years of experience in construction or MEP projects (UAE experience preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems, along with relevant codes and standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (knowledge of Primavera is an added advantage).
- Good communication and coordination skills to work with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform under pressure in a site-based environment.
- Familiarity with local authority approvals, inspections, and project documentation.
