We are actively seeking an ambitious professional to join our team at ADCB to work alongside passionate colleagues who share your ambition to redefine excellence in UAE banking.

In this role, your key responsibilities include :

  • Conduct and process the execution of remittances and cheque clearing, monitoring the achievement of service levels to external/internal customers to ensure they are executed in line with ADCB Group/UAE Central Bank (UAECB)/Swift standards/regulations and with no operational loss to the Bank.
  • Manage and process customer requests related to payments to ensure they are completed within the agreed timeframes and that customer complaints are resolved in a timely and professional manner in line with the agreed standards.
  • Assess the current management and completion of controls, identifying the completion adherence against the Banks requirements in order to report on improvements and corrective measures that excel customer experience and i mprove productivity.
  • Participate in discussions with Business, IT, Compliance and Operations Risk teams to ensure all Federal and CBUAE regulations impacting Payment operations are implemented within the prescribed timeframes.
  • Collaborate with Vendors, assessing and reporting on output against signed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), reporting on findings and providing suggestions for improvement for vendor retention or replacement based on performance and service provided.
  • Manage operational risk effectively and proactively by implementing adequate controls around the processes, within the Bank’s risk and incident management framework to ensure compliance to relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Group Heads, business units, support functions, external partners, regulatory authorities, collating their suggestions and feedback in order to make recommendation for improvements.
  • Manage self and team in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximize own and employee contribution to business performance.
  • Organize and supervise the activities and work of the team to ensure that targets and objectives are achieved and the business plan is delivered in line with the required policies, processes, procedures and systems.

The ideal candidate should have the following experience:

  • At least 6 years of experience in payment operations with at least 5 years in a senior managerial position
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration or relevant specialisation
  • Experience of, and exposure to payment operations, operational risk and management reporting
  • Process improvement and re-engineering
  • Relationship management, influencing and negotiation skills
